Scholars and Scribes
Scholars & Scribes is one half of the World Academy program, offered on alternating days alongside Global Foundations. This literacy-focused learning experience builds reading and writing through the texts of the year’s region of study. Students explore fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and technical writings while developing strong literacy strategies across genres. Scientific journaling and technical notebook-keeping support both creative expression and academic precision. STEAM methodology remains integrated, enriching each lesson as students grow into thoughtful, skilled communicators and curious global citizens.

STEAM Lab provides an immersive and hands-on learning experience focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Students receive in-depth instruction from specialized instructors, with a strong emphasis on arts integration to make learning engaging and holistic. The curriculum is aligned with national standards and aims to develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through project-based activities, all within a flexible, non-graded environment that encourages learning for the pure joy of knowledge.
