Students will explore how art in China has carried meaning, identity, and innovation across time. They will carve personal stamps inspired by ancient seals, practice calligraphy using brush and ink, experiment with block printmaking to echo early book and textile traditions, and paint delicate blue designs on ceramic surfaces in the style of Ming porcelain. Through these hands-on projects, students will see how art has served as both communication and cultural exchange, leaving lasting impressions across dynasties.
