Art

Students develop artistic skills through guided instruction in a variety of techniques and materials. Lessons focus on building foundational skills in drawing, painting, and mixed media, with clear instruction and modeling to support student success.

Students learn about the elements of art and principles of design, study works from different artists and cultures, and apply these techniques to their own artwork. Projects are structured to help students practice and refine specific skills while still allowing for personal expression within the framework of each lesson. This course builds confidence, creativity, and craftsmanship and is aligned to national visual arts standards.
