Students explore the sky and their world through hands-on investigations and creative builds. They observe patterns in the sun, moon, and stars, explore how sunlight warms the Earth, and begin to understand weather patterns and seasonal changes. Through simple experiments, modeling, and design challenges, students learn how Earth and the sky work together.
Students also engage in age-appropriate robotics and coding, both as dedicated units and as tools to explore scientific ideas.
This course builds curiosity, observation skills, and early scientific thinking, and is aligned to national NGSS and CSTA standards.
