Participants must be entering grades kindergarten to 12.
In this hands-on art camp, students will explore the colorful world of painting through a variety of mediums, techniques, and color theory concepts. Campers will build their skills step by step, starting with tactile color mixing using playdough before moving into watercolors, cake paints, and finally liquid paint.
Throughout the week, students will:
Experiment with watercolor, acrylic, tempera, and mixed media
Try out fun techniques like splatter, layering, palette knife, resist, and more
Learn about color theory, color mixing, composition, and artistic styles
Explore the work of well-known painters for inspiration
Create both guided projects and open-ended pieces
Build a mini-portfolio of their favorite artworks to take home
This camp encourages creative exploration — no prior experience needed, just a love for color and curiosity!
